Hotel Policies

Lobby Hours
Although we do offer 24-hour animal care, our lobby is open only during Monday- Friday 8am - 6pm and Saturday 9am – 5pm. Sunday Check-In and Check-Out are by reservations only. For security, safety, and accuracy considerations, we regret we cannot accommodate arrivals and departures before and after lobby hours.

Check-in and Check-out Times
Similar to that of a human hotel, Check-In time is after 2:00pm and Check-Out time is before 12:00pm. A late check-out fee of $15 applies to pets checked out after 12:00pm since additional care is required. Dogs going to Day Care or the Spa on check-out day will not incur a late check-out fee if picked up after 12:00pm. Pets not picked up prior to closing will be considered overnight guests and be charged for an additional night's stay.

Reservations
Goochie Poochie Doggie Resort & Spa reserves the right to refuse service and admittance to any pet guest who lacks proof of vaccinations, displays signs of contagious health conditions, demonstrates aggressive behavior, or does not meet our health and temperament standards.

Cancellations
We accept reservations with a required one-night deposit. For reservations cancelled 5 days prior to arrival, we fully refund your deposit. During holidays and peak season we require two nights' deposit, refundable if cancellations are made 7 days prior to arrival.

Holiday Surcharge
$20 holiday surcharge will be added per room on national holidays.

Payment
Payment is due upon check-out. Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express are gladly accepted.

Extended Stay Payments
Stays exceeding 2 weeks require payment of services rendered after 2 weeks and then at the end of each week thereafter. Client must maintain a valid credit card on file to be charged accordingly.

Pet Health & Safety
At Goochie Poochie Doggie Resort & Spa, we take pride in the health and safety of our pet guests. We consult with the Local Vet when we deem medically necessary. All guests must be in good health and not have been exposed to any contagious or communicable illnesses within a 30-day period prior to check-in. We accommodate pets who are healthy, fit and able to walk unassisted. Pet Guests must possess a temperament that allows staff to care for the guest properly. Dogs are pack animals and lead with their teeth and paws and are unpredictable in nature. As a result, no amount of vaccination requirement, supervision, sanitation or personalized care from us can be 100% certain to prevent pets from being injured or contracting an airborne virus or communicable disease.

Vaccination Requirements
Pet guests must be current on Rabies, Bordetella and DHPP and wait at least 48 hours after shots before checking in.

Medications
Goochie Poochie staff will administer medications for free with a purchase of Pill Pockets or $1.50 per dose. Medications must be properly labeled and dosage indicated on Check-In form.

Food
Pets are fed twice daily - in the morning and in the evening. You may choose to provide your pet’s own food or our house cuisine which is a high-quality, low residue, kibble diet by Blue Buffalo at your cost. Please put each feeding in separate baggies, labeled with pet's name.

Potty Break/Nature Walk
Dogs are walked outside for potty breaks 3 times per day. Additional potty breaks are available for $5.00 each.
The guest services menu offers additional exercise activities.

Beddings/Belongings
We provide clean and comfortable bedding for your pet. If pets’ own beddings or personal belongings will make their stay more comfortable, we gladly accept them. However, we are not responsible for any damage of loss of personal belongings.

Day Care Policies

Daycare is currently only available for Spa and Hotel guests.

Day Care Reservations are highly recommended for staffing purposes. Non-reservation dogs may be turned away if ratio of dog to staff is reached.

Requirements
Every Day Care guest Must:

  • Be at least 12 weeks of age and have completed their full series of vaccinations, including the bordetella vaccine
  • Meet our vaccination & temperament standards
  • Be on monthly flea and tick treatment
  • Be spayed/neutered if over 6 months of age
  • Attend a day camp evaluation day and be deemed "safe for play"
  • Have had exposure to a group of dogs (Minimum of two or more)
  • Show no aggression
  • Play well and appropriately
  • Not be an excessive barker
  • Listen and know basic obedience skills

To avoid food fight, we regret that we do not feed during Day Care Service.

Salon & Spa Policies

Reservations
Reservations are required for salon and spa services, however walk-ins are also welcome and we will do our best to accommodate you. Since walk-ins are unexpected, we may require a little extra time with your pet.

Check-in
New clients should plan to arrive 15 minutes before appointment time to complete client information form. To save your time, we recommend you to fill out the form in advance.

Tardiness
The clients are given a fifteen minute grace period without a late fee being incurred. It is at the stylists' discretion to accept clients who are more than fifteen minutes late for their scheduled appointment if client has not notified stylist. If the client is more than thirty minutes late for their scheduled appointment, the client may need to reschedule his/her appointment.

Cancellations
All cancellations require a 24 hour notice prior to date of scheduled service. If a client cancels the same day as his/her appointment time a $10.00 fee is owed to stylist prior to scheduling next appointment (the fee must be paid in full before any future appointments can be made). If the client for any unforeseen reason/circumstance is unable to give notice and cancels the same day; it is at the stylists’ discretion to waive any fees.

No Call/No Show
Clients who do not call us prior to appointment to cancel and who do not show for his/her scheduled appointment will be required to pay 50% of the appointment prior to scheduling any future appointments. After two incidents of no call/no show stylists will no longer be able to render any service to that client.
